Dealing with a lack of confidence can be as straightforward as preparing and rehearsing for a specific event or – at the other end of the spectrum – dealing with the feeling that you’ve lost touch with who you are and your direction in life. We actually learn to lack confidence and as such we can unlearn it, as well. A lack of confidence may be linked to messages that significant adults in our lives have given us . . . ‘you’re stupid’ . . . ’you can’t do that’ . . . ’don’t show off’ and so on. These past experiences very often affect the present, but can be easily reframed with hypnosis. You have a lot more resource than you think you have, so allow yourself to have as much confidence as you want, and watch your self-belief grow.
